Week #28 - 'School Days'

Well, it's finally time to announce the two newest Shabby Girls who are joining the Tea Room family!! These two super talented paper crafters are sure to bring a breath of fresh air to our shabby little challenge blog, not to mention that I know you will be wow-ed by their talent!  Please help me welcome:

Clare Buswell

and

Pattie Goldman

I know I speak for the entire team when I say that we are so happy to have them as part of the family and look forward to many amazing designs and inspiration from them both over the next six months :)

And, onto this week's challenge ...

Cathy is our lovely host this week and she has chosen this yummy photo for us all to be inspired by --

and asks that we create a card or project inspired by the photo -- using a 'school theme' and the colors from the inspiration photo!

Note: Because we are sponsored weekly by wonderful businesses who have graciously donated products and in the interest of fairness to all participants, any entries that do not follow our simple guidelines will not be eligible for the weekly prizes. Thanks for understanding and playing along!

•Cards/projects must be newly created following the current challenge guidelines. You may enter as many times as you wish and you may combine challenges.

Cards/projects must DIRECT LINK back to The Shabby Tea Room. Please only link your submission POST - not your entire blog or multiple challenge submissions.

•Please do not cross-promote events (advertising) unrelated to The Shabby Tea Room Challenge.

Please take a moment to help me welcome our Guest Designer this week - back by popular demand - Anabelle O'Malley!  We are all such {huge} fans of Anabelle's lovely, shabby and vintage designs!  We're so honored that she had a bit of time to join us again this week!  Please take a minute to stop by Anabelle's blog and leave her a little 'shabby love'!!!

Anabelle O'Malley - Bits and Pieces

And now for some more inspiration from the Shabby Girls ...

Debbie Marcinkiewicz - Simple Treasures
'Vintage School Desk'

Cathy Clark-Santie - Papier Girl
'Sewing Machine'

Clare Buswell - Clare's Creations
'Hoot Owl'

Lisa Golzbein - Oh So Cute By Lisa
'Clutch Purse 3'

Nicole Segnere - My Craft Room Creations
'Bookworm'

Pattie Goldman - The Pampered Paper Patch
'Vintage Bike'

Now, hop on over to our Shabby Girl individual blogs to see lots more creative and beautiful inspiration!

Please welcome this week's Tea Room sponsor ... Digi Doodle Shop!

Digi Doodle Shop is the result of a mother and daughter’s love for the arts and crafts. It was started just a couple of months ago with a little more than 100 stamps, and has since then grown to over 250 stamps - now available.

Joy (the mother of this team) designs realistic images, while I (Judy aka/daughter) love the “fun side of life”, and create images with cartoon flair. Having these two complimenting styles have enabled Digi Doodle Shop to offer just about any type of stamp. Plus, we also offer “custom made stamps”, and blog designs. Our best work comes from request, so if you don’t see what you’re looking for, just send us an email and before long you’ll see it in the shop.

It is a real honor and pleasure to sponsor this challenge, and we look forward to seeing all the amazing creations. We thank the design team for their incredible creations, and wish all the participants the very best of luck in this challenge.

Thank you so much for having us, and again the very best of luck to all of you.

Sincerely,  Judy and Joy

We will award a 'The Shabby Tea Room Tea Time Terrific Top Three' badge to the three most creative projects!!!  The Shabby Tea Room Winner will earn our adorable pink tea pot winner badge and a $10 Gift Certificate donated by Digi Doodle Shop!

Link your creations below by Sunday, September 26th to play along. Winner and Tea Time Terrific Top Three will be announced Monday, September 27th. We will have an all-new challenge for you to play along with on the 27th as well, so please come back and visit with us again for another chance to win!
